About Mike

Mike joined FNBC Kansas City in September 2012 as the designated broker for DGB Realty. He began his real estate career in 1999 with the local office of a nationally franchised real estate company in Lake Lotawana, MO. After only two yrs, he earned his broker’s license and became the designated broker for the office. In 2003, Mike purchased the franchise and continued as the Broker/Owner until 2006. He continued his real estate career with an independent office until that office merged with another national real estate company. Mike continues to maintain a broker’s license with an independent real estate company for his clients who look to buy or sell residential real estate. Prior to entering the real estate industry, Mike worked for a family owned tractor and implement business. While there he worked as an inside and outside salesman and parts manager. He also managed many of the accounting functions and inventory control.
 
Having been self-employed for the majority of his working life, Mike has a strong belief that owning and operating a small business provides the best opportunity to live the American Dream. As a business broker, Mike is able to help others do the same.
   
Mike and his wife Bev have four children, Marcy, Michelle, Dustin, and Brandy and eleven grandchildren. Mike and Bev love to travel. They have traveled throughout the continental United States as well as Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Mike’s favorite destination is Alaska as he loves the outdoors and the beauty of Mother Nature. An avid sportsman, Mike loves to hunt, fish, play golf, and watch the Chiefs and Royals. Mike also enjoys singing old time barbershop harmony with the Heart of America Barbershop Chorus and The New Harmony Handful.
